After I made the three quilts I have slated for donation this year I finally contacted Project Linus. Turns out my local administrator doesn't want two of the three quilts I made for donation. Guess baby sized quilts made for donation are pretty common.
Then last Christmas my mother asked me to work on a Mix Tape quilt with her. While she was piecing her top I made a start on my own, second, Mix Tape Christmas quilt. After finishing it I realized that I didn't really NEED two Mix Tape Christmas quilts.
Here's where it gets good for you! I've got two baby quilts and the Christmas Mix Tape quilt laying around that I don't need.
Do you need a baby quilt or Christmas quilt to give as a gift this year? Or do you just want one of these quilts for yourself? Well, here's your chance to get one for FREE! That's right, I've giving away your choice of one of these three quilts. :)

That's it! GOOD LUCK! :)

They're all adorable and I have a place for any of them. :) How very generous of you! :)
My favorite is Robots and Cars and the Pinwheel is a close second!
Wow! So generous :) I love them all, but especially the pinwheels - beautiful colors!
i know where you live, so i'd better win that Christmas quilt!!!
p.s. what kind of charity TURNS DOWN donations? crazoids.
I can't even imagine a charity refusing a quilt, let alone such beautiful ones!
I would be thrilled with any one of them. There is a lovable little person in my life for whom either of the the sweet baby quilts would be perfect, and the lap quilt would be cherished in my home.
You are so sweet and generous.
hugs,
Heidi

You can never have enough smallish quilts. But that being said I like the Mix Tape Christmas quilt best!
They all look great! Any one of them would be wonderful to own. I like the pinwheel one best though - love those fabric choices!
All the quilts look beautiful, I would love them all but the pinwheel quilt would be the one I would pink.
Those are fantastically beautiful. I can't believe Project Linus turned them away. I've made crib size quilts and they were always accepted. I wonder if it is up to the administrator?!?
I love the Robot quilt and the mix tape is a close second, but really I would love any handmade quilt that I didn't have to make. LOL!
Thanks for the opportunity and this wonderful giveaway.
So sad that Project Linus wouldn't take these! They are wonderful! I especially love the Robots and Cars quilts and would be thrilled to give it a good home!
Whaaaaa? You're giving away these beauties? Well, put me on the list, sister! I have a bazillion baby quilts I need to make, so I guess put me down for the robot quilt for the dozens and dozens of boys my friends are birthing. (Perhaps an exaggeration there, hmmmm?) However, I also would have a home for the Christmas quilt or the other pretty quilt. Girl! You know I love your work!
First, let me take a moment to ponder the kind of charity that won't accept a homemade quilt donation. CRAZY!
They're all lovely, but there are no babies in my life at the moment, so I guess the christmas quilt would be my preference. Although I do love those pinwheels!
I love them all -- but am most partial to the baby quilt ...
I like all of them, but really Like the Robots and Cars baby quilt
Gorgeous quilts! And a VERY generous give-away.
I would love to win the Christmas quilt! It's a beauty! (they all are, but the x-mas one has put me in the holiday spirit).
The robots and cars are funky and fantastic-- I'd be honored to win it! (p.s. What about Teddy Bear Foundation for donation kids quilts?)
Wow, I cannot imagine any charity turning away such beauty!!! I would LOVE the Christmas one to decorate with- I've just started quilting and haven't gotten around to any holiday quilting yet!
It's so hard to decide between the mixtape quilt and the pinwheel quilt. They're all so beautiful!
I love the mix tape but I know my son would love robots and cars, so if I won you'd need to surprise me because I can't choose between the two!
They are all beautiful. Our local sewing machine shop is taking quilt donations for children in need ages 0-13 that are no longer in their homes regardless of the reason. I would really enjoy donating the quilt of your choice. I think any of those children would love to have one of your quilts.
THEY TURNED DOWN QUILTS??? Definitely crazy. I would definitely choose the gorgeous Mixtape quilt. Thanks for a great giveaway. (I'm here via Cut to Pieces).
Wow, their loss and our gain! You are so generous!! I would love the Christmas quilt or the robot quilt for my little baby boy to wriggle around on :)
I love the robots and cars but as I'm not a little boy and I don't know any at the moment my pick would be for the Christmas quilt.
As for the charity, it is a real shame the quilts were turned down. But, your generosity in offering them to your readers aside, have you thought about a different charity. I hate to think of two not finding a home, particulary with someone that needs one.
Wow! it is amazing that anyone would say no to these beauties! I would take any one of them, really! Thank you for your generosity.
I love the pinwheel quilt. Your use of color is outstanding.
What the what? As my almost four year old would say...who by the way is having a blue princess robot party in a week. She'd totally rock the rock and cars quilt!
We'd give one a great home with lots of love!
This is such a tough call, because they're all beautiful! I think I would choose the pinwheels, but they're all fabulous, congratulations!
Wow - this is such an amazing giveaway! I haven't made myself a Christmas quilt and have been wanting one so bad so I'd have to choose that one - the other two are so cute though - they are missing out on some fabulous quilts!
Hi, Angela sent me over. What beautiful quilts you've made and how generous of you to offer this fab giveaway.
I could certainly find a loving home for all of them but in particular would love to give the robots and cars quilt to a very special little boy who is being adopted by a friend.
Wow! All 3 are so wonderful! Thanks for a fantastic giveaway!!
they are all beautiful and makes me sad that they could not accept them. My favorite is the pinwheel quilt , thanks for such a wonderful giveaway.
I will treasure the quilt if I am the lucky winner.
glad to have found your blog! I am now a follower.
I make baby quilts for our local hospital I donate them directly to the social worker for the childrens floor. Might be something for you to think about doing if this ever happens again.
thanks
Kathie
What beautiful quilts! I can't imagine anyone turning these down - I love them all
Gill
oh my! Pinwheels! And such beautiful ones too! If I were to be so lucky, that would have to be my pick.
Bless your generous heart.
I am kind of amazed that someone would turn down such beautiful quilts.
I know two babies that would use any of them! My personal favorite is the pinwheels, but they wouldn't be for me :-)
You are a very kind woman!
Our guild (Pine Tree Quilters) donates quilts to children in one of our local hospitals who are going through cancer treatments. I would be more than happy to take any one of these quilts in to donate :) I wonder if a hospital in your area could use some of the quilts also. They are so adorable!
Choose one?? That's hard!! They are all so beautiful. I guess I choose the robots because I know a baby boy that could use such a quilt! Thanks for being so wonderful to share your time and talents.
Wow, I can't believe someone turned down your quilts!! That's crazy, but good because now we have a chance to win one...yay!! I would love to win the "Robots and Cars Baby Quilt" for my cousin who is having a baby next spring. It is too cute :)
I could just kiss Angela for telling me about this giveaway! I love them all, but it is the holidays so I will have to go with the Chritmas Mixtape quilt. This is so generous. I can't believe they didn't want your quilts! You could always check with a local children's hospital--that's who our guild makes quilts for.
What beautiful quiilts! I would love either of the baby quilts! I have "adopted" both a little boy and girl from Salvation Army's Angel Giving Tree program and these would be so beautiful to include in their gifts! Thanks for the opportunity to win!

I love the Christmas mix-tape quilt.
Now I am worried that my branch of Project Linus might not take my pile of donations.....hmmmmm.

I love both the robot quilt and the Christmas quilt (I love those funky trees). Thanks for having such a nice giveaway.
Turning down quilts...what is wrong with people LOL All of them are gorgeous and any of them would be wonderful to win. My favorite though is the Mix Tape Quilt!
Well tootsie, you need to find a new Project Linus group because that is Absurd! I work in a pediatric OR and we can't get enough quilts for the infants. Also Victoria at Bumblebeans has a group that is very appreciative of any quilt. My vote is for the Robots and I will take it straight to work if I win. Thank you!
Wow, who turns down quilts? Especially donated ones. And especially such wonderfully made ones. They are gorgeous! It is hard to for me to pick a favorite, The pinwheel and the Christmas one are neck and neck.
These are so pretty! How to choose? Iove them all! I guess I'd choose the robot quilt. I am surrounded by expectant Moms :)
So glad I found your blog. Off to the archives!
Wow, a charity that doesn't need quilts. That is weird :)
Your quilts are beautiful!! I love the pinwheel one, simply breathtaking :)
Angela from Cut to Pieces sent me over..I'm a new follower....and I can't believe they did need/want your quilts... that is sooo ABSURD!. I'm going straight to the hospitals now!!!!
The hospitals for children in Michigan are most appreciative of any quilt. I love all three of your quilt--they are beautiful. I really to love the Christmas one. My friend and I are heading to Anne Arbor Michigan with a number of quilts for our wounded soldiers. We'll be doing that within the next couple of weeks. I think we'll stop off at Mott's Children Hospital in Anne Arbor MI too. I have a Disney Cars quilt and Princess quilt I know will be welcomed with open arms and I'm hoping to finish a third before we deliver them. Thanks for the chance to win a quilt...you are so generous. Have a wonderful day.
Crazy!! I have dear friends that lost two children to progressive neurological diseases and who received project Linus quilts multiple times (one per admit to Children's Hospital?) and they treasure each one.
If I had the good luck to win, I think I'd choose the robots baby quilt!
Thanks for the chance!

I amazed any charity would turn away a quilt!!! They could raffle it off if they have too many. You can always donate to Victoria at Bumblebeans, too. She will make sure your quilts go to a deserving home. They are all cute but I would love the Christmas one. You are so kind!
WOW- just gorgeous!!! I would love the Christmas or the pinwheel quilt :) I guess Christmas, but it sure is hard to decide!! You are amazing :)
Wow! I can't imagine how shocked you must have been when they turned away your lovely quilts. So kind of you to share!
I'd love to win your Christmas quilt!
the christmas mix tape quilt is adorable!
Wow! They are all so beautiful but I would especially love to have the Christmas quilt- adorable!
I am sure there are any number of other charitable organizations who would appreciate your quilts! Great job, and great sentiment.
Thanks so much for the giveaway!
p.s. lovvvvve the wallpaper on your site!
Wow! These are all amazing. I agree, it's hard to think that a charity would turn away baby quilts, but having worked for a nonprofit before I know there is only so much storage space to be had. I hope they at least referred you to another organization!
If I won, I'd totally go love the Christmas mix tape quilt. It's always my intention to make a Christmas quilt to have next to the couch all through the holidays, but I never make one!
Off to check out the rest of your blog. I also love the wallpaper! I found you through Angela.
So sad that the charity had to turn down your beautiful quilts. And so generous of you to give one away! They are all beautiful and would make anyone happy to receive. It is really hard to choose but I would love to have the Christmas quilt.
Hi! Cut to Pieces sent me over ... what a generous giveaway opportunity !!! I have to say, even without the giveaway, your blog title had me becoming a follower from the get go .... too good! Thank you :)
I love your blog background! I don't have a Christmas quilt and would love to win yours! This is so so so nice!
What a generous laday and gifted quilter. I like the Christmas Mix Tape Quilt. Would love to see it in person. Thanks for the chance.
Jane
What a very generous giveaway! I'd love to have the baby quilt, as we have two babies recently born. Thanks for entering me :-)
Oh my word! I cannot fathom that someone said they couldn't use them. The Door Of Hope here in our city takes things like quilts for infants. I would love any of these! I especially like the Christmas Mix Tape quilt and the Pinwheel. My little girl just turned 3 and she absolutely loves babies and quilts! She would so use one of these and take it everywhere with her.
Thank you for the opportunity. :0)
What a sweet giveaway! I would love # 3 - Pinwheel Baby Quilt. Thank you for the chance.
Wow! I love them all! How generous!
How very generous! I would love to win any of the three quilts. There are plenty of new babies around:) and one never has enough Christmas quilts. Again, thanks for a very generous giveaway!
I can't pick; I adore them all... though the Christmasy one is speaking to me a bit more loudly...
these are gorgeous! I'm excited to have found you. :)
The Pinwheel Quilt is absolutely gorgeous. Thanks for the chance!
I can think of babies who'd be delighted (& their mums!) & would be happy to pass them on
Chris x
I know someone who recently had a baby girl. They do not have much in the way of $$ for extras. I think a baby quilt would be a great gift for them. The pinwheel quilt looks perfect for a baby girl. Thanks for the chance to win.
Wow, I've never seen a give away like this! How kind of you to donate in the first place. I think if I win, I would find another place that could use it for donation. I think that's only fitting.
My favorite is the baby pinwheels. So pretty.
Thanks again!
Yay, a new blog! All three of your quilts are great. Gosh, I had a hard time choosing one. Even now as I type this I don't know how to pick one and not pick the other one!Oh, geez here goes....the Christmas mix tape lap quilt.
All three are beautiful but the mixtape would look great out and part of my holiday decorations this year!
Oh by the way, have you tried to donate to Quilt4kids. They are always taking smaller quilts like these.
I think it is ridiculous. I cannot believe that a charity cannnot find kids or other people in need. I would love to win either of the quilts, because all of them are very pretty, so I keep my finger crossed.
Thanks for offering the contest! I can't believe a charity would turn away such a lovely donation!
Each quilt is absolutely gorgeous!
Wow, that's so generous to give these beautiful quilts away. I'd love the Christmas one or the pinwheels. They are all beautiful.
So happy to find a new blog - I'm going to love reading through everything! All three quilts are beautiful - and I have a recipient in mind for each of them should I be lucky enough to win. Thanks for offering such a cool and generous giveaway!
Oh my goodness!! I loove all 3! Guess the pinwheel one the best...I would be ecstatic with any of them. You are so sweet to do this.
I love the colors in the Christmas Mix Tape Lap quilt. It would be a great Christmas present for my mother in law. Thanks for your generosity.
I'd love to win a quilt you've made! I really like the pinwheel baby quilt. Thanks so much for the chance!
I would absolutely love to win your pinwheel baby quilt...in fact, I'm due with my second baby in less than 2 weeks! That would be sooooo perfect...thank you for being so generous!!! I'm crossing my fingers and toes:)
jodym7@yahoo.com
They are all beautiful but I would pick the Christmas one! I LOVE Christmas.
what were they thinking? Seriously? Who can't use an extra quilt?
I would love to snuggle up with the christmas mix tape this season!
stacy dot drake at gmail dot com
I have just the perfect person in mind...
A guy I work with has foster children in and out quite frequently, and they take a lot of infants and toddlers. What a special gift this would be for them :)
What a generous heart you have! All three of these quilts are wonderful, but if you must twist my arm (ouch,) then I'll go with the Robots.
nsue21702 at gmail dot com
A friend just had a baby boy so the robot quilt would go to a good home! Thanks for the generous giveaway. They are all super!
did i miss out? i love all three but the Christmas Mix Tape Lap Quilt works best for me!! This is wonderful of you. Yay!
Oh having trouble choosing between christmas mixtabe and the candy bar robots. Can you choose for me if I am lucky enough.
Wow! What a generous giveaway!! I would be honored to call the mix tape quilt my own. It is very pretty. Quilts never go unused in my house, my son has been known to sleep with 3 or 4 at night!! :)
Cheers!
Rachel
They're all great but the Christmas quilt is my favorite.
I would pick pinwheel first but love all of them! What a nice giveaway.
I LOVE the mixtape pattern and I don't have a Christmas quilt :(! I would love to win that one. Thanks! Kris
I would take any quilt anyone wanted to pass my way, but I love the Christmas Mix tape one the most! Great giveaway!
I can't imagine not wanting any of those quilts! And for you to just give them away. I like all of them. The robots are cute and the pinwheel is such a classic pretty baby quilt pattern.
Thanks for the opportunity. I have a baby quilt that I just finished which I just offered to my son's girlfriend for a raffle so perhaps a replacement would be nice.
What a wonderfully generous giveaway! Sad that a charity would not want a gifted quilt. I aspire to have created as many quilts as you have.
I hope you're still accepting comments. If so, I would love the Christmas Mixtape quilt if I won. Thank you again.
-Linda (stitchsister@gmail.com)
What beautiful quilts - can't believe they said they wouldn't take them. I would - and I'd put them to good use - we find out what the gender of our new little one is in three weeks and can't wait!
iliketoquilt@hotmail.com
i can't believe these beauties were given back to you!
i have a friend whose daughter is having her 2nd babe and the circumstances are quite difficult, so i would love to give one to her. i think it would make her smile.
Darn! A day too late! I just saw Angela's link. They are beautiful quilts. I hope they go to a good home.
If I win one of these quilts, I will donate it to our local hospital NICU - they are always in need of quilts. Thank you for the giveaway!
Dang, a few days late and a dollar short, as they say! Beautiful quilts!
If you are looking for another charity to donate to you may want to consider Margaret's Hope Chest. It is a very worth while charity and I am certain Carin would love to have your beautiful quilts. Please let me know if you want contact info although I guess you could google it too! XOXO
